PSY, Creator of Gangnam Style Is Ambassador for Solaire Resort Entertainment City

PSY’s Gangnam Style created a global storm around a decade ago, and the man is still in the news. He is a legit superstar in Asia and is now an ambassador for Solaire Resort Entertainment City and Solaire Resort North, its Manila-integrated resorts, according to reports. With this, the company aims to promote itself and gain popularity with the Korean crowd.

“Partnering with PSY underscores our commitment to delivering unforgettable experiences to our guests and deepens our engagement with the vibrant Korean community in the Philippines,” revealed Cyrus Sherafat, Solaire Resort Executive Vice President.

Solaire Resort and Casino is a world-class integrated resort located in Entertainment City, Manila, Philippines. Opened in March 2013, it is a premier destination for luxury, entertainment, and gaming in Southeast Asia. The resort, operated by Bloomberry Resorts and Hotels Inc., spans an expansive area along Manila Bay, offering stunning waterfront views and iconic sunsets.

Solaire features a vast casino floor with a variety of gaming options, including slot machines, table games, and private gaming salons catering to both casual players and high-rollers. The resort also boasts a luxurious five-star hotel with over 800 opulent rooms, suites, and villas, blending modern elegance with Filipino-inspired design.

Poker companies routinely sign up big names from the media and entertainment industry. Earlier, Indian poker companies added several individuals to their brand ambassador and celebrity affiliation lists, including Randeep Hooda and Nawazuddin Siddique, who are signed with PokerStars India and BigCash, respectively. Even superstar Shahrukh Khan is an ambassador for A23. 

The South Korean rapper, born in 1977, became popular with his 2012 hit single Gangnam Style, for which he won several national and international awards. The song has gained more than 2 billion views since its inception. When the song first hit the charts, it became a runaway hit, and for many, it was an introduction to the Korean music scene and popular culture. Today, Korean dramas and musicians like BTS have captured global attention.

During his career, the performer has met several luminaries, including the UN General Secretary Ban Ki-Moon. In 2012, he was appointed a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).
