PlayStation owners in India now have one more way of customizing their DualSense controllers. Accessories brand Firefly and retailer Games The Shop have listed silicone covers for PS5 controllers. The cover price of the PS5 controller is INR 499 and is available in 17 colours ranging from Avocado Marble to Blood Camo.
In addition to this, the store also has PS4 controller silicone covers which are available in 12 colours and are also priced at INR 499.
Accessories for PS5 are seeing a rise in the recent past given that Sony makes up for 90% of the console business in the country. This is as per the observations of the company’s own estimates.
Recently, Delhi-based Capes started offering their own skins for DualSense controllers and PS5. The Sparkfox silicone covers and thumb grips from E-xpress, an Indian distributor received mixed responses from the gaming community. Such personal imports from foreign brands like Dbrand are welcomed but receive extremely high customs duties and end up costing double the amount than other markets. Other than this, recently Prosenjit Ghosh, the head of PlayStation Business, Sony India mentioned that the year 2020 was the best for PS4 in India.
During an industry panel discussion at the India Gaming Conference 2021, Ghosh mentioned, “This is just the seventh year of PS4 and this year was still the best year.” In addition to that statement, Ghosh also added that Indian gamers look for international content in franchises like FIFA, GTA as well as lower prices. Just a month ago, Sony’s PlayStation 5 was on sale in India and was directly in competition with Microsoft’s two new Xbox models, the Xbox Series X, Series S game consoles, and others.
Ever since the console launched in November 2020, there has been a high demand for it in the country and it has remained out of stock in many markets. For more such articles about gaming, keep reading GutshotMagazine.com. Follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and Telegram.
