Pokimane Not Keen On Joining Any Esports Organization

Imane Anys aka Pokimane, the well-known Twitch star, is one of the most popular streamers in the world with more than 7.7 Million followers on the streaming platform. She is also the co-founder of the YouTube channel Offline TV a.k.a OTV. During a recent stream, the Canadian streamer revealed that she has been receiving several offers from various Esports companies, but she’s keen not keen on joining any.

In the highlights video posted on her YouTube channel, a fan quizzed her about her plans to join any esports organization, to which she said, “For years and years, I have been offered plenty of times. Plenty of teams. But I’m on OTV. And you know, we created OfflineTV and I feel like if I joined a team, it would kind of dilute my brand and it would dilute the OTV brand as well.”

The 28-year-old streamer believes that joining any organization would bring in many obligations and deliverables, thus restricting her from giving her best in anything and will leave her juggling between the two worlds.

Currently, she is the sixth most followed streamer on Twitch. She gained massive popularity in the streaming community when she started streaming Fortnite back in 2018. She later went on to add Among Us and Valorant to her collection during the last year and regularly streamed the games.

Last year in October, Pokimane collaborated with the US Congresswomen Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Ilhan Omar, and various other prominent streamers like Disguised Toast and Hasan Abi for an Among Us gaming session as part of the get-out-the-vote initiative during the 2020 United States presidential election.

Pokimane was also featured as an honoree in the 2021 Forbes 30 Under 30 under the category of Games. She is the largest female streamer on Twitch and also one of the founders of Offline TV.
