WSOPE: Agostino Pellegrini leads Day 1G of The Colossus


The World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) is just another day away from crowning its last titleholder in the 15th and the final bracelet Event #15: The Colossus, attracting numerous players representing their nation at King’s Casino, Rozvadov. Undoubtedly, none wanted to miss out on any given opportunity to fight for the very last gold bracelet.

The biggest and the busiest Day 1G is to be remembered. The day concluded after registering a total of 346 players, each entering for a buy-in of €550. The field narrowed down to only 39 players moving on to the final table and the top 52 received a paycheck.

The biggest stack of the day was claimed by Agostino Pellegrini who bagged 587,000 chips. With only $22k total live earnings, the Italian player is heading to grab his career-first ever gold bracelet.  Other notable players heading to the final day include Avraham Dayan bagging 577,000 chips, Artan Dedusha with 556,000, bracelet winner Tomas Fara with 325,000 chips.

And those who gave a shot but couldn’t manage to progress include bracelet winner Bertrand Grospellier, 6-time bracelet winner Daniel Negreanu, Anson Tsang, 2-time bracelet winners Anthony Zinno and Robert Campbell and sole Indian contender Tarun Goyal.

  4. Predrag Budakovic – 442,000
  5. Luca Piras – 378,000
  6. Tomas Knespl – 344,000
  7. Tomas Fara – 325,000
  8. Petr Fungac – 322,000
  9. Andrea Radicchi – 306,000
  10. Robert Ashelm – 299,000

Day 1F and 1G escalated the total number of entries to 1,374, and already 149 players have reserved their seats to resume on Day 2. With only 2 flights before the ultimate winner will be crowned, players who failed to bag still have a clear chance to enter and lead.
