WSOP 2021 Schedule Out; 88 Bracelet Events Lined-Up


World Series of Poker (WSOP) 2021 was announced early this year. The poker community across the world is eagerly waiting for the WSOP 2021 schedule. It was earlier announced that the 2021 WSOP will be held between September 30th and November 23rd, 2021 and now this news is confirmed. The two-month long tournament series will be held at Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.

The wait is finally over as the organizers have announced the detailed schedule of the events that will take place during the two-month duration. The schedule includes 88 signature gold bracelet events. 

These bracelet events will feature buy-ins from $400 to $2,50,000. The registrations for these events are expected to open in the month of August either via online mode or in-person.

A few highlights from 2021 WSOP schedule

  • The Reunion event on the opening weekend will feature a buy-in of $500 and a $50,00,000 GTD tournament.
  • The series will feature a $25K Heads-Up Championship and a $50K PLO event.
  • The series will include a $2,50,000 Super High Roller event, which will be the largest non-charity buy-in event in the history of WSOP.
  • WSOP 2021 will also feature a special Poker Hall of Fame Bounty tournament.

2021 WSOP Main Event 

The Main Event will be a $10,000 buy-in event. It will feature four starting flights which players can choose from as follows:

Day 1A – Thursday, November 4th, 2021

Day 1B – Friday, November 5th, 2021

Day 1C – Saturday, November 6th, 2021

Day 1D – Sunday, November 7th, 2021

The Main Event final table will take place from Tuesday, November 16th to Wednesday, November 17th, 2021.

What’s New?

The series will feature it’s regular events like The Millionaire Maker, Monster Stack, Double Stack, Colossus and The Closer. However, the organizers have added several new events in the schedule. 

Here are some of the newly introduced events:

October 1 – The Reunion with $500 and $50,00,000 GTD

This event will have three starting flights on Friday, Saturday and Sunday for players to choose from. You can also play all three starting flights

October. 5th – $25,000 Heads Up No-Limit Hold’em Championship.  

WSOP’s Heads Up championship may not be new, but this year the amount has scaled up to $25,000 from $10,000. There will be a cap limit of only 64 players at this event.

October 10th – $1,000 Flip and Go by GGPoker. 

The Flip and Go is a popular game format on the online felts of GGPoker. However, this format will be added to the physical poker tables at 2021 WSOP. 

October 27th and 28th – $1,000 Seniors Doubles Up. 

The Seniors event isn’t new to WSOP. But this year, for the very first time, the event  will witness two starting flights. Additionally, the players will also have one optional re-entry per flight.

October 6th, 13th, 18th, 21st, and 24th – Old School Freezeouts Return.

Earlier only the WSOP Main Event was a pure freezeout event. This year, the organizers broke the tradition to offer a freezeout at every event with a buy-in ranging from $500 to $5,000.

October 31st – Deuce to Seven Single Draw NL Returns

This event made its comeback for the 2021 WSOP. This event will be an add-on to the Poker Player’s Championship. Total nine games will be hosted. 

November 17th – Poker Hall of Fame Bounty

This is one of the most highly-anticipated tournaments from the WSOP 2021 schedule. To honour the Poker Hall of Fame (PHOF), which started in 1979, a freeroll will be offered to all the Hall of Fame members for a $1,979 buy-in No-Limit Hold’em tournament. 

All players participating in this event will have a bounty equal to the year they were admitted to poker’s most exclusive club. The 2021 PHOF inductee will also be revealed at this event.

November 19th – Nosebleed PLO. 

This will be WSOP’s most expensive buy-in PLO High Roller series tournament with a buy-in of $50,000. It will be a part of other high stakes tournaments including $50,000, $1,00,000, and $2,50,000 No-Limit Hold’em events.

Additionally the Daily Deepstack tournaments will be held on most days in the Pavilion Room along with the satellite tournaments and cash games. These will take place at 1 PM, 4 PM, 7 PM and 10 PM.

CBS Sports will be the broadcast partner of the 2021 WSOP event. 18 different bracelet events will be televised with a coverage of minimum 15 hours from the Main Events. The broadcasts will be produced by Poker Central exclusively.

2021 WSOP schedule includes:

  • 51 Texas Hold’em bracelets
  • 13 mixed game bracelets
  • 13 Omaha bracelets
  • 6 Stud bracelets
  • 5 Draw bracelets
