WSOP 2020: Milakai Vaskaboinikau leads Day 1F of Main Event


The grandest event of the 2020 World Series of Poker (WSOP) is the Event #77: $5,000 No Limit Hold’em Main Event featuring a whopping $25 million GTD. All around the world, players are looking forward to grab the biggest share from the monstrous prize pool. And here is a complete summary from Day 1D to 1F.

The fourth starting flight (Day 1D) clocked in 68 entries out of which only 7 managed to advance to Day 2. Leading the survivors was Canada’s Stuart ‘bigdad’ Wallensteen who accumulated the largest stack of 625,267. The chip in-charge was followed by ‘TTVTT’ with 594,852 chips and Maicon ’21_Pirlo’ Gasperin with 582,309 chips. Two-time bracelet winner, Mark Rajoda, was the 7th person closing the day with 375,909 chips.

The $25M GTD ME Day 1E attracted a total number of 83 entries, and only 16 survived. After 15 levels Vlad ‘CheckEtoFold’ Martynenko emerged as the chip leader, bagging a stack of 819,099. He has pushed away Day 1A chip leader Samuel Vousden to the second spot. Chris Brewer finished second with 557,457 chips and ‘calderOn77’ in the third place with 368,981 chips.

The sixth starting flight, Day 1F concluded with Belarusian player Milakai Vaskaboinikau powering through the field with 796,176 chips. The event registered 129 entries with 19 among them progressing to Day 2. Vaskaboinikau stayed ahead of Adam ‘MikePrice82’ Hendrix with 621,949 chips and Adrian Delmas collecting 605,052 chips. India’s Srihari ‘bangbang1999’ Bang bagged 261,926 in chips, becoming the first Indian player to progress to Day 2 in the 2020 Main Event.
