WSOP 2020: Kevin Gerhart Captures Second Career Bracelet!


The 2020 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Online continues on WSOP.com for the Nevada and New Jersey players. The 20th coveted bracelet belonged to Ohio’s native Kevin ‘therealkg’ Gerhart who claimed the top prize after outlasting a massive field today! The WSOP Online Event #20: $500 PLO 6-Handed attracted 1,137 entries that includes 510 re-buys.

Accumulating a prize pool of $511,650, it took 13 hours or so for Gerhart who now resides in Las Vegas to triumph the field. The winner’s Hendon Mob displays $602K in lifetime winnings while his first gold piece came last year when he took down the 2019 WSOP Event #54: $1,500 Razz for his career-best $119K. More recently, in 2019 December, Gerhart took down The Wynn Winter Classic in Las Vegas.

After the bubble bust, money reached the top 150 places and those who cashed include  Jamie ‘DanBilzerian’ Kerstetter (111th – $920), Phil ‘Lumestackin’ Hellmuth (95th – $920), Ryan ‘bitc0in’ Riess (55th – $1,227), Shaun ‘ddtgg’ Deeb (36th – $2,302),  Connor “666666” Drinan (11th – $5,935) and so on.

The six-handed final table saw Gerhart with the largest stack. The chip leader eliminated ‘Shanmukha’, Chris ‘Robotbob47’ Moorman, and Jenny ‘Mobey’ Svancara on his way. Eventually, with the fall of Jenny ‘Mobey’ Svancara in the third place, heads-up got underway between ‘Duckmoney420’ and Kevin ‘therealkg’ Gerhart. The event concluded with

  • ‘Duckmoney’: Ks Qs Qc 6d
  • Gerhart: 9h 8h 7c 4c

Flop Ad Tc 6s saw ‘Duckmoney’ moving all in and Gerhart calling. Turn 7s gave the latter a straight but the former was still there with a flush draw. With 2c the tournament ended right there and Gerhart eliminated his opponent in the second place. This win gave the champion his second career WSOP bracelet and a $97,571 payday.
