Wednesday Roundup: Bothra, Sodha, Advani, Kumar Earn Titles!

It was an engrossing Wednesday night with players smashing Spartan Poker’s INR 25 Crore GTD IOPC July 2020 edition, PokerBaazi’s IMPS and PokerStars India’s Micro Millions series. And here is a quick recap of last night; keep reading to find out the titleholders…

IOPC #46 Destiny

The biggest event across the online felts was Spartan Poker’s IOPC #46 Destiny boasting INR 50 Lakhs GTD. Logging in an enormous field of 1,259 entries, the INR 5,500 buy-in event framed a guarantee-smashing INR 62.92 Lakhs prize pool. Climbing his way to the top was well-known grinder Deepak Bothra aka ‘chimpoo’ booking his place in the Destiny SnG Finale after defeating ‘5BetNinja’ in heads-up. This was the champion’s second IOPC July 2020 title after he took down IOPC #23 INR 3 Lakhs GTD outlasting a field of 700+ entries.

IOPC #47

After 8+ hours of intense grinding Sumit Sapra aka ‘Sands Myth’ ended up in the second place while a mystery player ‘SidSparta21’ who fired two bullets took down INR 10 Lakhs GTD IOPC #47 on Spartan Poker. Recording another massive field of 1,005 entries and collecting INR 15.07 Lakhs worth prize pool which was shared among the top 87 players who locked at least 4,673 in min-cash.

The Pride

The most prominent event on PokerBaazi was The Pride INR 10 Lakhs GTD. The INR 3,300 buy-in event registered 316 hopefuls. Racing past an intense field was Chirag Sodha aka ‘miyagi’ who defeated Ujjwal Narwal ‘Mr_Robot’ in heads-up to win INR 2.21 Lakhs in top prize. The latter banked INR 1.55 Lakhs. Narwal also finished runner-up in Micro Millions Night on Stars (read-below). Siddharth Pandey aka ‘Siddonuts’ earned INR 99,700 for ending in the 3rd place and ‘borntrouble’ bagged INR 55,400 for finishing 5th.

Wednesday SuperStack

Another attraction on PokerBaazi last night was INR 3 Lakhs GTD Wednesday SuperStack. The tourney clocked in 146 entries after each one chipped in INR 2,200 buy-in. Money reached the top 18 places who secured at least INR 3K. The star performer of the night, Sumit Advani bagged consecutive titles when he railed out Lakshpal Singh aka ‘boomtilt23’ in heads-up. On Tuesday night the champion took down the Tuesday MonsterStack for INR 80.4K.

Micro Millions – 32 Night on Stars

Wednesday signature tourney INR 11 Lakhs GTD Micro Millions – 32 Night on Stars pulled in a strong field of 400 entries. Racing ahead of the rest was ‘sheldon11cooper’ who trimpuhed the flagship event after defeating Ujjwal Narwal aka ‘CougarHunter69’ in heads-up. Narwal earned the second place payout of INR 1.65 Lakhs while the anonymous winner took home INR 2.25 Lakhs.

Micro Millions – 34 Big Bubble Rush

PokerStars India hosted Micro Millions – 34 Big Bubble Rush promising INR 5 Lakhs in prize pool guarantee. After 5+ hours, the last man standing to claim the title and the top prize was circuit regular Dhinesh Kumar aka ‘you3betl4bet’ who knocked out Shashank Desai aka ‘GOAT-245’ in heads-up for INR 48,121. Top 41 players also finished ITM securing INR 1.9K out of 239 runners.
