Wednesday Round Up: Mystery Players Clinch Top Spots In High Value Tournaments


Poker platforms were hosting high value tournaments with many players flocking to the online felts for a chance at victory. While there were many known players in the game, the top spots on Spartan Poker, PokerBaazi and Adda52 were dominated by mystery players. Here’s a low down on the action.

Destiny – 25 Lakh GTD

Spartan Poker’s Destiny tournament is one that many poker players dream of shipping. This event had a buy-in of INR 5,500 and had a total of 581 entries participating in it. The 25 Lakh prize pool was crushed by an impressive margin. The final prize pool was recorded as INR 29,05,000. The top 50 places were paid a min-cash of INR 14,525. It was mystery player, ‘Leonidas1’ who took home the biggest piece of the prize pool with INR 7,55,300 in winnings. Nitin Arora aka ‘Demogorgon’ was the runner-up with INR 4,64,800 in prize money.

 The Pride – 10 Lakh GTD

PokerBaazi’s tournament had a total of 327 entries who were looking to ship the INR 3,850 buy-in tournament. The initial prize pool was surpassed with INR 11,45,000 being recorded as the final prize pool. Players who made it to the top 36 places were paid a min-cash of INR 7,782. It was player ‘acessorted’ who clinched the top spot with INR 2,53,000 in prize money. Online reg Ritwik Khanna aka ‘Ritwikkhanna’ came in second and cashed INR 1,77,000.

 Maverick – 10 Lakh GTD

The Maverick is an Adda52 classic with players from all over the country flocking to grab the winning title. The INR 2,500 buy-in tournament had a huge crowd of 760 entries. Due to this amazing turnout, the 10 Lakh guarantee of the event shot up to INR 17,29,012 crushing the advertised prize pool. The top 82 places were paid a min-cash of INR 3,804. Mystery player ‘jpoker’ shipped the tournament and pocketed INR 3,70,650 in winnings, while runner-up ‘myeshu’ took home INR 2,94,151 in prize money.
