Wednesday Round Up: Kanchan Sharma and Siddhanth Kapoor Ace Their Way To The Top


The mid-week poker mania packed a lot of punch for players on all the poker platforms. While clinching the top spot in Wednesday’s high value tournaments is the goal, only a few came out victorious on the online felts. Let’s take a look at the action of the day.

The Pride – 10 Lakh GTD

Keeping the momentum going was PokerBaazi‘s tournament that welcomed a total of 334 entries into its fold. The ₹3,850 buy-in tournament crushed its initial prize pool and had ₹11,69,000 as the final amount. The top 36 places took a bite from this prize pool and got paid a min-cash of ₹7,949. It was poker pro Kanchan Sharma aka ‘Kanchansharma’ that came out on top with ₹2,58,000 in her bankroll. Sharma claimed the title after beating Rajat Mahajan aka ‘happyfish’ who walked away with ₹1,81,000 in winnings.

Maverick – 10 Lakh GTD

The online felts were packed on Adda52 as a total of 768 players flocked to play the Maverick tournament. This huge turnout of players and the ₹2,500 buy-in resulted in the advertised guarantee of ₹10 Lakh being crushed by a big margin. This took the total prize pool amount to a whopping ₹17,47,195. The top 82 places made the money and received a min-cash of ₹3,844 as their reward. Taking the top spot in this tournament was popular actor and ace poker player Siddhanth Kapoor aka ‘bullzeyepower’ who went on to win ₹3,55,091 in prize money. A two-way deal was struck between Kapoor and Vivek Singh aka ‘Vivek94540’ in which Singh went home with ₹3,16,707 in his pockets. 

Talking about his win Siddhanth Kapoor said, “I was playing with one eye closed, I was that sleepy. But the final table was epic and Vivek and I decided to chop it. Overall, love Adda52’s structure.”
