Tuesday Roundup: Nikhil Arora And Mystery Players Clinch Top Titles After Grinding Hard


With the 11th edition of India Online Poker Championship (IOPC) taking place in full swing, poker players are having a feast. However, that did not stop players from grinding on other platforms and making some money. Tuesday night was a low-key affair yet the online felts of Adda52, PokerBaazi, PokerStars and Spartan Poker were buzzing with action. Let’s dive into what Tuesday night looked like.

The Endeavour – ₹12 Lakh GTD

The action at PokerBaazi’s The Endeavour tourney was evident from its final prize pool of ₹15.19 Lakh which crushed the initial guarantee of ₹12 Lakh. This tourney attracted 434 entries who fought hard for the top spots. The top 54 places were paid a min-cash of ₹6,987.

Nikhil Arora aka ‘blastupinside’ topped the table and added ₹3.03 Lakh to his bankroll. Vishnu Khandelwal aka ‘violater’ was the runner-up who walked away with ₹2.14 Lakh. The third position was secured by Ritwik Khanna aka ‘Ritwikkhanna’ who cashed ₹1.38 Lakh.

Players like Armaan Kochhar (4th, ₹1.02 Lakh), Aman Parakh (7th, ₹51,040), Sagar Choudhury (11th, ₹22,330), Md Zeeshan (22nd, ₹12,300), Kunal Patni (29th, ₹9,417), Arjanveer Singh Chadha (32nd, ₹9,417), Arun Sriram (33rd, ₹9,417), IOPC #11 Monday Spotlight winner, Manish Lakhotia (35th, ₹9,417), IPC 2020 winner, Rubin Labroo (38th, ₹8,202), Sanish Chhabra (46th, ₹6,987), WSOP bracelet winner, Aditya Sushant (51st, ₹6,987), Vivekk Dube (53rd, ₹6,987) and Ram Kakkar (54th, ₹6,987) among others who made in the money.

The Big Deal winner, Ankit Wadhwan was the bubble boy as he busted at the 55th place. Anirban Das (56th), Vaibhav Sharma (60th), Dhinesh Kumar (65th), Nitin Arora (73rd), Mithun Mahesh (75th), IOPC #11 Monday Spotlight runner-up, Guruprasad Gupta (79th), Siddhanth Kripalani (83rd), IOPC #12 All Rounder winner, Vinay Rajpal (86th), Mohit Mehta (88th), Goonjan Mall (94th), WSOP bracelet winner, Kartik Ved (107th) and Laksh Pal Singh (109th) were some players who made no money.

Sixth Sense – ₹5 Lakh GTD

Sixth Sense on PokerStars witnessed poker pros battling it out. The ₹5 Lakh guarantee tournament attracted 250 entries, while the top 29 places received a min-cash of ₹4,954.

Anonymous player ‘kabir2298’ clinched the top title and cashed ₹96,613. ‘Sahni1509’ finished second and took home ₹71,829, while Bharath Kumar aka ‘hzgod’ walked away with ₹53,402 at the third spot.

Other notable players who made it to the top 29 places included Manish Lakhotia with five re-entries (8th, ₹14,344), Kunal Patni (15th, ₹7,580), Kartik Ved (24th, ₹4,954) and Sagar Choudhury (29th, ₹4,954).

Players like Harsh Dembla (31st), Anirban Das (33rd), Aman Parakh (34th), Ankit Wadhawan (41st), IOPC January 2021 Main Event winner, Laksh Pal Singh (47th), Armaan Kochhar (59th), Arsh Grover (61st), Sanish Chhabra (66th) and Mithun Mahesh (73rd) left the table empty-handed.

The Mint – ₹15 Lakh GTD

Adda52’s staple The Mint was one of the biggest tourney’s of the night. With a buy-in of ₹3,850, this tournament attracted 465 entries to surpass the advertised guarantee by a slight margin. The top 49 places received a share from the final prize pool of ₹15.96 Lakh. The min-cash paid was ₹8,778.

Mystery player ‘dp178’ shipped this tournament for ₹2,63,784. ‘rtuteja’ finished at the runner-up spot for ₹2,45,488. Akshay Dhingra aka ‘NoFuchsGiven’ walked away with ₹2,10,379 at the third spot.

Vivek Karwa (7th, ₹43,890), Vishal Bajaj (9th, ₹19,950), Kritagya Sharma (10th, ₹19,950), IOPC reg Guruprasad Gupta (16th, ₹13,566), Anmol Mehta (19th, ₹13,566), IOPC #17 Tuesday Spotlight winner, Ashish Kumar (20th, ₹11,970), Mohit Mehta (25th, ₹10,374), Surbhit Grover (31st, ₹10,374), Rohit Behal (33rd, ₹10,374) and Amit Kaushik (44th, ₹8,778) were some players who made some money at this tourney.

IOPC Day 3

IOPC #MissionKhazana continued in all its glory on its third day. With six events taking place, the tourneys were flocked by poker pros and noobs alike.
