Tuesday Roundup: Anuj Yadav wins back-to-back majors


A sluggish Monday night followed a relatively swift Tuesday offering bigger guarantees. The flagship tourneys lined up by prominent platforms gave away bundles of prize money to the worthy winners. But taking away yesterday’s limelight was none other than Anuj Yadav who raced to grab two titles overnight. So, let’s take a tour on yesterday’s majors…

Tuesday was action packed on Spartan Poker hosting Mega Stack INR 20 Lakhs GTD that garnered 640 players, each one of whom entered paying INR 3,300 buy-in. Well-known online grinder Devang Yadav aka ‘giraffeganger_1’ overpowered the field and beat ‘CrownUpJr’ in heads-up to lock the first-place prize money.

Dominating a field of 435 entries, a renowned online grinder Anuj Yadav aka ‘brockLesnar95’ shipped The Endeavour INR 15 Lakhs GTD on PokerBaazi for an incredible INR 3 Lakhs. Last night observed a pretty good field and the players registered for a buy-in of INR 3,850. The assured amount was surpassed to generate a higher prize pool of INR 15.22 Lakhs and the top places benefitted from the same. However, Yadav bagged the winner’s title after defeating another reg Ujjwal Narwal aka ‘Mr_Robot in heads-up.

Adda52 hosted its Tuesday’s signature event Hitman INR 7.5 Lakhs GTD, a bounty tournament which means additional cash prizes! The buy-in to this Tuesday fever was INR 5,200. Outlasting the field was circuit crusher Abhishek Garg aka ‘thegrinder’ who beat Naren Purohit aka ‘IMUNAGI’ in heads-up for INR 1.53 Lakh along with 13 bounties that came on his way. And Purohit settled for the runner-up position bagging INR 1.33 Lakh.

A well-known competitor Harsh Dembla powered through a field of 290 players who registered for a buy-in of INR 2,750 in PokerStars’ flagship tournament Sixth Sense INR 7.5 Lakhs GTD. The competition ended with a heads-up deal between Dembla and ‘Prodichase’ and former’s larger stack saw him taking away INR 1.35 Lakh while his opponent managed to walk out with INR 98,043.

StackUp

Fate was in favour of Anuj Yadav who railed out Shashank Shekhar aka ‘biharibhaia’ in heads-up to capture the winner’s cash prize of INR 65,000 in 9stacks’ StackUp INR 2.5 Lakhs GTD. However, Monday’s featured tournament saw Yadav aka ‘brockLesnar95’ finishing in the runner-up position after Shekhar shipped the tournament. But last night the champion added another feather to his crowded poker cap and sent his opponent to the second position for INR 45,000.
