SVS Day 1: Aditya Sinha, Adithya Raj, Rohit Singh win titles


The much-awaited Spartan Value Series (SVS) is back in action once again on Spartan Poker. Along with the live tournaments, India is at its peak with the on-going Baazi Poker Tour (BPT), nevertheless, online felts are also witnessing pretty big events this month. A total of 5 tournaments were hosted yesterday and these were all with lower buy-ins as the series promises to strengthen the bankrolls of low-stack players. SVS Event #1 INR 55K GTD

The first event itself registered a massive number of 512 players all registering for a buy-in of INR 110. As the tournament progressed, the top 31 places received a paycheck inf INR 484. Topping the field was Aditya Sinha aka ‘Aditya_mNm’ and he bagged the biggest prize money in this tournament for those who have started their poker career.

In Level #28 (3,500/7,000 ante 700), Sinha (3h 3c) had 1 million chips while his opponent ‘Ashwanis’ (Tc Kd) was leading with 228k chips. Pre-flop saw the latter putting entire chips in the middle while Sinha calls 205k playing safe. 9c Ad 2c 2h Qc added another feather to Sinha’s poker cap winning the event with two pairs 3322 and taking home the first-place prize money.

SVS Event #2 INR 70K GTD

The second event of the day had a bigger buy-in of INR 220 and saw a moderate field of 351 entries. Eventually, the top 27 places were paid out, each receiving a min-cash of INR 702. Adithya Raj aka ‘aditya_raj’ shipped the event taking home the prize money after beating ‘devadon’ in heads-up.

With blinds at 6,000/12,000 ante 1,200 in Level #32 of the tournament, Raj (Js Qd) was leading with 701k chips while ‘devadon’ (Tc 7s) had 526k chips. Flop 9d 8d Qh both players put their entire stack on the table. The turn and river 4h Kc made no difference for Raj who ultimately won with single pair QQ.

SVS Event #3 INR 40K GTD

INR 165 was what was each entry paid to enter the third tournament and 230 players registered last evening out of which only the top 20 players received a minimum cash of INR 536. Rohit Singh under the username ‘yo yo guitarist’ emerged victorious and walked away with the first-place prize money.

In Level #29 (4,000/8,000 ante 800) Singh (9c Th) was leading with 325k chips and his opponent ‘lordshiva1990’ (Ks Ah) with 249k chips. The final hand was quick, the latter bets 20k while the former smartly folds. Ultimately, both players settled for a deal with Singh carrying a larger stack took the title yesterday evening.

SVS Event #4 INR 2.25 Lakhs GTD

A total of 283 players entered the tournament each paying a buy-in of INR 880. The prize pool was slightly surpassed which was later shared among the top 23 players receiving a minimum amount of INR 2,626. ‘Hj1008’ emerged as the winner taking away enormous prize money after beating ‘Giz^zy’ in heads-up who eventually settled for the runner-up title.

SVS Event #5 Hi-Fi INR 6 Lakhs GTD

This was been a regular feature of the SVS series so far. Hi-Fi has been the final tournament on each day so far and here, 437 entries each paid the INR 1,650 buy-in to take the prize pool all the way up to INR 6.65 Lakhs. Sachin Raj aka ‘Hell’ beat ‘KarmaPoker’ in heads-up and the latter ended up settling for his runner-up finish.

In Level #40 (12,000/24,000 ante 3,000) 4 players were a part of final hand, Raj (7h 8d) leading with 1.17 million chips and ‘KarmaPoker’ (6s 2h) with 754k chips. 4 out of 3 players fold after ‘Skullkikker’ (Ac 3h) puts his 12k small blind and wins the pot. That’s when all decide to make a deal and as a result of the bigger stack, Raj emerged as the champion of the night.
