Sunday Round Up: Laksh Pal Singh, Gokul Raj & Aditya Sushant Smash Poker Felts Like True Pros


Grinding on Sundays is very important for poker players. Poker players have different ways of prepping for the bid day. All the top guns from the industry battled it out on online poker felts with full gusto. World Series Of Poker (WSOP) bracelet winner Aditya Sushant made headlines while other achievers like Gokul Raj, Laksh Pal Singh, and Amit Kaushik also emerged victorious.

The Millionaire – ₹1 Crore Lakh GTD

Spartan Poker is known for its Millionaire Series tournament. Yesterday there was yet another Millionaire series that had most online regs flocking to it. 313 entries made it to the Day2 of Millionaire and 311 players were paid a min-cash of ₹8,708.

This tournament was shipped by an anonymous player ‘NoPrisoners’ who cashed ₹16,93,496. The runner-up of this tournament was IOPC January 2021 Leaderboard winner Bhanu Prakash who received ₹9,26,148. Other than these two top guns, there were several other biggies from the industry like Gokul Raj, Ashish Ahuja, Yudhishter Jaswal, Sanket Arora among others.

Sunday Superstack – ₹42 Lakh GTD

The Sunday Superstack tournament on Spartan Poker had 446 entries in total. India Online Poker Championship (IOPC) January 2021 Main Event winner Laksh Pal Singh aka ‘LuckyBhai$’ shipped this tournament. Singh took home a hefty sum of ₹7,81,162 in the prize money. The runner-up spot went to an anonymous player ‘Tokio999’ who took ₹7,07,585 in prize money. 

Other players who also tried their hands at this tourney were Madhab Pal, Raman Gujral, Ankit Wadhawan, Yohan Patel, Arsh Grover, Abhishek Paul, Goonjan Mall, Anirban Das, Kunal Patni, Ratul Steves, Dhaval Mudgal among others.

This ₹11,000 buy-in tournament had an advertised guarantee of ₹42 Lakh but it was surpassed and a slightly bigger prize pool of ₹44,60,000 was formed. The top 39 players in this tournament were paid a min-cash of ₹30,774.

Money Heist – ₹13 Lakh GTD

Spartan Poker’s Money Heist tournament had 1,217 entries in total and the top 111 players were paid a min-cash of ₹3,346. This ₹1,200 buy-in tournament was shipped by a mystery player ‘J.U.B.L.U.U.’ who rose to the top and made ₹2,02,461. And this player was followed by yet another anonymous poker player called ‘superjericho’ who cashed ₹1,34,873.

The tournament witnessed players like Sahil Chutani, Ankit Bajaj, Micky Sharma, Mohak Kapoor, Anirban Das, Sanket Arora, Hitesh Batra among others slogging out. The advertised guarantee of this tournament was ₹13 Lakh which was slightly surpassed. The final prize pool stood at ₹13,38,700

DOPT Epic – ₹20 Lakh GTD

This Epic Deltin Online Poker Tournament (DOPT) on Adda52 had 639 entries in total and the top 72 players were paid a min-cash of ₹8,946. This tournament was won by World Series of Bracelet winner, Aditya Sushant who took a pay cheque of ₹5,87,880.

Sushant was followed by Mohammad Azhar aka ‘Blankspace’ who had a pay day of ₹3,39,309. Other than these two players there were several others such as Yudhister Jaswal, Vishal Bajaj, Surbhit Grover, Manish Lakhotia, Anirban Das, Anurag Srivastava who fought tooth and nail to clinch the winning title. The advertised guarantee of this ₹4,400 buy-in tournament was ₹20 Lakh but it was crushed and an even bigger prize pool of ₹25,56,000 was formed.

DOPT Highroller – ₹20 Lakh GTD

Highrollers always attract poker pros, mainly because it offers high-value guarantees. This Adda52 DOPT Highroller had an advertised guarantee of ₹20 Lakh but it was crushed and an impressive prize pool of ₹55,25,007 was formed.

The ₹27,500 buy-in tournament had 221 entries in all and the top 24 poker players in this tournament were paid a min-cash of ₹46,963. Among these 221 entries, poker pro Gokul Raj aka ‘Niruha’ cashed ₹15,16,613. The runner-up of this tournament was yet another well-known poker player Rudramani Pokhrel aka ‘rud1478’ who took home ₹8,84,000.  

Though Raj and Pokhrel made hefty cashes in this tournament several others like Shravan Chhabria, Niharika Bindra, Anirban Das, Kunal Patni, Naresh Veeravalli, Surbhit Grover also put up a good show.

Superstack – ₹20 Lakh GTD

This tournament on PokerBaazi had 455 entries in total and the top 54 players were paid a min-cash of ₹10,470. This ₹5,500 buy-in tournament was shipped by Amit Kaushik aka ‘quark’ who received a pay cheque of ₹4,57,000. The runner-up of this tournament was Jerry Bareh aka ‘nongtuh’ who won ₹3,21,000 in prize money.

This tournament had several other pros like Vishnu Khandelwal, Guruprasad Gupta, Parikshit Dhall, Vivek Dube who played the . This Superstack tournament had an advertised guarantee of ₹20 Lakh but it was surpassed and a slightly bigger prize pool of ₹22,75,000 was formed.
