SSS Day 7: Sahu, Temani, Madraswala, Grover, Bhaita, Arora win big!


We are fast approaching the end of exciting the Spartan Super Series (SSS) on Spartan Poker and Day 7 was slightly different from the previous ones played. Yesterday lined up a total of eight tournaments to choose from with buy-ins ranging between INR 550 to as high as INR 27,500. Along with the Thursday flagship events, High Roller INR 60 Lakh GTD was the greatest attraction last night. And here’s a recap of SSS Day 8, so, keep reading to find out the winners…

SSS #43 INR 2L GTD

The first tournament began at 12 pm for a buy-in of INR 550 only. This attracted a total number of 453 entries eventually collecting a prize pool of INR 2.26 Lakh. The top 31 players made into the money with ‘Jacks24’ grabbing the largest share by eliminating ‘Akshit_bunny’ in heads-up after dominating him with his pocket Aces over 77.

SSS #44 Monster Stack INR 3.50L GTD

At 2 pm the second event kicked off enticing a field of 488 runners who paid INR 880 to register. Once again, ‘Jacks24’ rode past the field, grabbing his second title after already taking down the previous event. The champion defeated ‘partypoker123’ in heads-up and added another figure to his poker bankroll. The latter settled in the runner-up position taking home the second largest share of INR 3.90 Lakh prize pool.

SSS #45 Afternoon Showdown INR 5.50L GTD

With a buy-in of INR 2,200 a total number of 270 hopefuls joined the field to hunt for the winner’s title. The top 27 places locked at least INR 5,500 as min-cash but the one to grab the biggest portion was online reg Amit Kumar Sahu aka ‘Magnemo’ after the players struck a heads-up deal which saw Tathagata Sengupta aka ‘RadioActivity’in the second position.

SSS #46 INR 3L GTD

Circuit grinder Vaibhav Temani aka ‘AllinPavBhaji’ outlasted the field of 268 entries to take down Event #46. But before the tournament concluded the top 23 players earned a min-cash of INR 3k at least from the final prize pool. Ultimately, in level 41, Temani eliminated his opponent ‘Sky111’ in heads-up with his JJ33 over 33 and bagged the first-place prize money.

SSS #47 Ultron INR 30 Lakh GTD

Thursday flagship event kicked off on Spartan Poker with buy-in of INR 4,400 pulling out a field of 737 runners only out of which the top 71 finishers made into the money. After long intense hours of grinding, it was Haider Madraswala aka ‘Callmebabe’ who topped the list and claimed the first-place prize money after striking a heads-up deal with Lakshpal Singh aka ‘LuckyBhai$’ who secured the runner-up position.

SSS #48 High Roller INR 60 Lakh GTD

This was the main attraction of the night! The buy-in to the tournament was INR 27,500 which attracted a field of 273 entries. Soon, this number crushed the guarantee to create INR 68.25 Lakh in prize pool which was distributed among the top 27 players. Riding past the field to emerge as the biggest winner of yesterday was circuit popular Arsh Grover aka ‘BigggTymeR’ who railed out ‘masterbluff’ in heads-up with his JJ and K kicker to bank a 7-digit score!

SSS #49 Big Bounty INR 7.50 Lakh GTD

Another feature tournament kicked off at 9:30 pm yesterday fetching a total of 226 entries for a buy-in of INR 3,300. The top 31 players received a paycheck, a slice from the final prize pool with each one locking at least INR 6,600. Capturing the valuable title along with the prize money was Ishaan Bhatia aka ‘potripper16’ while his opponent Mohit Kankaria aka ‘TurnYourAce’ settled in the runner-up position.

SSS #50 Monster Stack INR 5L GTD

SSS Day 7 ended with Monster Stack being the final tournament. A total of 385 entries pounced on the field to collect a prize pool of INR 5.77 Lakh and at least INR 5K was given out to the top 31 finishers. Capturing the winner’s title after claiming the first-place cash prize was Jai Arora aka ‘kingfour’ after the players settled for a 3-way deal. Eventually, ‘anishsuri’ ended up in the second place and ‘Zaalimp’ in the 3rd position.
