Rajesh Tallapaneni takes down ReCharge on Spartan Poker

The start of a new week and with that comes the new challenges that every Monday brings. However, for Rajesh Tallapaneni, it was the most ideal start to the week as he shipped a major online poker tournament on Spartan Poker last night. Beating a packed field, Tallapaneni ended the tournament after a 3-way deal on the Final Table.

We’re talking about ReCharge INR 10 Lakh GTD which is a newer tournament offering on Spartan. Played every Monday night at 8pm, the tournament has a buy-in of INR 2,200 and you can find many lesser known players also participating alongside the pros. Yesterday, 521 entries registered to pass the guarantee and create a new prize pool of INR 10.42 Lakh.

From this field, only the top 47 players eventually finished in the money, each taking home a minimum cash prize of INR 5,939. Tallapaneni plays under the nickname ‘Lord_of_the_RINGS’ on Spartan Poker and he took home the biggest prize of the night, having the largest stack at the time of the 3-way deal.

The final hand of the tournament saw ‘abvi54’ shoving pre-flop with pocket Fives and while all the others folded, Tallapaneni called with pocket Nines and with the board opening 7s 2s Jd Qs 2, the latter won with Nines and Twos. abvi54 busted in 4th place and the rest decided to call it quits immediately after this bust out.

In third place due to current stack sizes was ‘aditya32113213’ and his grind last night was as long as his username, earning INR 1.2 Lakh for his finish. Finishing second as part of the agreement was ‘avengers906’ and this player earned INR 1.45 Lakh for the runner-up finish. As for Tallapaneni, he pocketed INR 1,62,691 for winning the title!
