Rajat Mahajan ends victorious in Vegas on PokerBaazi!

Can’t go to Vegas for the 2019 World Series of Poker (WSOP)? Then why not let Vegas come to you? That’s exactly what Rajat Mahajan thought last night as he shipped one of PokerBaazi’s featured online poker tournaments called Vegas, beating a tough field to emerge champion.

Vegas INR 10 Lakh GTD is played every Wednesday on their platform and in recent times, the participation to this tournament has always been in great numbers. Yesterday, a field of 320 entries (including 131 re-entries) registered to play the tournament, each paying the INR 3,300 entry fee.

Vegas began at 8pm as it does every Wednesday night and last night, it took nearly 6 hours before a winner was declared. Rajat Mahajan plays as ‘happyfish’ on PokerBaazi and this player outlasted the entire field to bag the top prize of INR 2,20,900. This came after he took care of his final opponent ‘rickdiculous’ who won INR 1,55,000 for finishing as runner-up.

Mahajan is a known name in the circuit and has a number of wins across platforms. The last couple of months in particular have been great for him, winning Spartan’s Sunday SuperStack in March and also taking down Adda52’s signature tournament called Millions just last month.

Here, the top 36 players were paid out a minimum of INR 6,800 each. Among them were a few known players like Lakshpal Singh aka ‘boomtlt23’ (35th), Utsav Taneja aka ‘ranny006’ (29th), Shardul Parthsarathi aka ‘duuurrrr’ (19th), Faiz Alam aka ‘AilaGaya’ (17th), Arjanveer Chadha aka ‘holdbaby’ (16th), Siddharth Karia aka ‘schemer’ (7th), Sajjan Barnwal aka ‘TheTeacher’ (3rd), and others.

Gutshot congratulated Mahajan on beating this field and winning another title. We also asked him about the tournament, and he said, “After making some deep runs and a few FTs on PokerBaazi, I’m relieved to have finally shipped one after a long time. Of course, I ran good but also made some sick calls along the way, especially in the final hand!”
