Purple poker to host live poker tournament in Bangalore

We all know that poker in India has been on a rapid rise in recent years, with various tournaments, leagues and other events hosted by the top poker companies in the country. While online poker is booming, there are certain restrictions on live poker, being legal in just a few cities across the country.

Most of the top live tournament series that take place in India are hosted in Goa, like the Deltin Poker Tournament, India Poker Championship, Baadshah Gaming Live, etc. However, Purple Poker, one of the newer poker companies in the business, has announced a live poker tournament in Bangalore next month.

Purple Poker believes in giving players a ‘Royal Poker Experience’ and they will surely try their best to provide that in their upcoming Freedom Blast Event, a live poker tournament which has been scheduled for Independence Day, 15th August 2018, at the Champs of Aces Poker Club, Koramangala in Bangalore.

The tournament has an advertised guarantee of INR 10 lakh and with over 150 entries estimated to be present at the event, we’re expecting the guarantee to be beaten. The tournament has a buy-in of INR 7,700 and online satellites to the event are also available.

This could be the start of an exciting journey in the live poker space for Purple Poker. There are talks of Purple Poker hosting another live tournament in Kolkata in the next month, after reviewing the success of this Independence Day tournament. The winners in Bangalore will be paid out in their Purple Poker accounts, with TDS to be charged as applicable.

“While looking at the poker scene in Bangalore lately, a lot of players enjoy playing live tournaments, so I think we are giving a platform to these players as well as promoting our online brand PurplePoker.in. We aren’t concentrating too much on the live platform as of now. This is just a promotion for our online platform,” said Rakesh L, Business Development General Manager at PurplePoker.

The tournament in Bangalore is set to be an exciting one and you can come back to GutshotMagazine.com for a roundup of that tournament when it ends.
