The term describes a situation in which a player who is way ahead of his opponents and only plays the best hands he gets. This is done to ensure that he stays in the lead and that position is not taken by his opponent. Anything can happen in a poker game, which is why players need to be careful about how they play and the opponent’s gameplay.

Once a player is comfortable with their position in the game, they will try to maintain it for as long as they can. One way of doing this is by choosing the kind of hand they play or in other words playing conservatively. They will only bet on premium hands like pocket aces or pocket kings which are thought to be one of the best hands to get in poker.
