Nishant Sharma registers Spartan Flash win yesterday

Nishant Sharma made India proud in the WSOP Main Event last year, recording the best Indian finish there, cashing out at 34^th for a wholesome cash prize of $230,475 (~INR 1.58 Crores). He was already a well-known community entity before this, but the ME finish propelled him to new heights and yesterday too, he bested a popular regular feature tournament – The Flash INR 12 Lakhs GTD on Spartan Poker!

The tournament began on Spartan last evening at 7.30 pm and was in the books by 12.52 am today morning. It attracted a playing field of 276 entries (including 46 re-entries and 106 re-buys) for a mid-ranged buy-in of INR 4,400. The top 23 players were paid for a min-cash of INR 13,920. Sharma overcame the tournament playing a Final Table which saw a few regs in contention.

Sharma made a heads-up deal with ‘Fish4Life’ and took home his share out of the top 2 places, INR 2,39,270. The runner-up also earned a good amount of INR 2,28,729 considering that he wasn’t that far behind in chip counts at the time of the deal. Fish4Life also won this week’s Mega Freeze on Spartan. Sharma, to secure his victory, overcame a challenging Final Table which included the likes of Goonjan Mall (4^th – INR 1,03,200), Rohit Mishra (5^th – INR 82,800) and Kavish Kukreja (7^th – INR 47,520).

Coming to the winner, Sharma is a renowned community entity since a long time with a strong presence on live and online felts. He recently won Adda52 Millions in January this year for INR 5,56,000. Among his live wins include an event in Macau Poker Cup in August 2017 for HKD 65,990. Players like him need no bankroll addition to continue playing poker but yesterday saw him earn a good amount which he’ll be hoping to convert into wins in no time.
