Neel Joshi leads Day 1C of the BPT Main Event

The much-awaited Baazi Poker Tour (BPT) has been a massive success so far with two tournaments coming to an end and currently, everyone’s eyes are on the 50k BPT Main Event where Day 1C and Day 1D were hosted last night. A massive 193 entries registered on the third flight which began yesterday at 3pm in the Casino Pride 2 poker room in Goa.

From this field, 27 survivors managed to grab a bag to Day 2 of the prestigious BPT Main Event and the chip leader among them is Neel Joshi, who takes 566,000 chips forward to Day 2. Joshi also cashed in the 100k High Roller and here, he is followed by Anant Purohit (467,000) and HR 4th-place finisher Vivek Rughani (416,000) in the top three.

So many notables were in the field and among them to progress to Day 2 were WSOP bracelet winner Abhinav Iyer (358k), Akanksha Singh (329k), Arsh Grover (266k), Alok Birewar (247k), Gokul Krishna (178k), Sumit Sapra (177k), Nadeem Basha (169k), Sam Anand (124k), Ayush Garg (106k) and others.

This third flight turned out to be the biggest of the four starting flights, as the turbo flight Day 1D came to an end around the same time, attracting 120 entries and creating a total field of 567 entries. The prize pool generated was INR 2.66 Crore and the top 63 players will be paid out in the tournament, with a min-cash of INR 1.01 Lakh.
