It is Monday today and like many out there we also get a lot of motivation from our poker pros. Today we present to you ace poker players who have achieved great heights in the industry and have crossed all hurdles which stood in their way. If you are a newbie and want to know more about star Indian poker players, you must know about the following people:

Gaurav Sood

Last Sunday, Gaurav Sood won the IOPC #22 Sunday Super Stack. Sood aka ‘mozzie17’ took home an impressive INR 7,78,873. Sood is the cover star of Gutshot’s e-magazine’s upcoming January 2021 edition.

Ashutosh Balodhi

This poker pro is one of the most promising poker players in town. Among the 263 entries, Ashutosh Balodhi aka ‘SpewMonkey’ earned a whopping INR 34,24,000 in prize money. Dhirendra Kumar

Dhirendra Kumar aka ‘dhiru91’ has been a part of the poker circuit for quite a long time now. After being introduced to poker through one of Adda52’s promotional campaigns in 2014, Kumar has been actively engaging in this game.

In the recent past, he won India Poker Championship’s Final Table Series – The Big Game. He took home massive prize money of INR 19.4 Lakhs and a Gold medallion. Dhirendra Kumar is also a part of team Deccan Aces in the upcoming PSL Season 3 Virtual.

 

Radhika Shankar

Poker Mom Radhika Shankar’s game stood out among others that she has played against. Shankar started in the DPTx with INR 225 and went onto win INR 2.8 Lakhs. The boss lady since then has been making headlines on regular basis. Shankar was one of the commentators during the Final Table Series hosted by India Poker Championship. The poker pro is a student at Abhishek Goindi and Tanay Hargunaney’s premiere Poker India Bootcamp. The mother of a six-year-old also featured in our November 2020 edition’s e-magazine and in our ‘Unheard Stories’ series.

Nikita Luther

Where do we even begin? This boss lady has done it all. Nikita Luther is the first Indian woman to win a WSOP tournament with a win in the $1,000 NLH Tag Team Event that was held in June 2018 in Las Vegas. Other than this, Luther has several acclaimed titles to her name. This elegant yet tough to the core, Spartan Poker Pro also gave a TEDx talk at IIFT Kolkata. Maria Kirloskar is an accomplished poker player, who is also a mindset coach for poker players. Kirloskar also dons the hat of being an author. Goonjan Mall

Goonjan Mall is among the favourite poker players of the fans out there. This poker player has several titles to his name. He shipped the PokerStars Sunday PKO, Monday Nitro, The Flash and The Elite on Spartan Poker, Sunday Stacks on 9stacks, and many other distinct titles.
