Monday Roundup: Mukundan, Gokhale among title winners


While Monday drove all attention to Asian Poker Tour, currently underway in Vietnam at Pro Poker Club with a sizeable group of Indians in representation, last night did not run dry on online felts either. Hundreds of players took to their seats and the worthy winners walked away with immense glory. The most awaited Spartan Super Series (SSS) is back in action, once again an opportunity for mid/high stakes player to win big. Spartan Poker comes up with new tournaments to provide a path for beginners as well as the leading players in the country. This series included the daily Monday tournament named ReCharge INR 13 Lakhs GTD. And at 8 pm sharp, each participant entered for a buy-in of INR 2,200, ReCharge always gathers great field which eventually manages to surpass the guarantee that also happened last night. It was a back-to-back win for Venkatesh Mukundan aka ‘Borissss’ taking down the event yesterday night after winning previously on Sunday.

In Level #47, blinds at 32,000/64,000 ante 4,500, 3 players enter the final hand and settle for a deal with Mukundan carrying the largest stack of 3.3 million. The Bout

Pokerbaazi hosts The Bout INR 10 Lakhs GTD every Monday night which observed a good field after the players chipped in the INR 4,400 buy-in. 7-hour long haul, Ameya Gokhale aka ‘Enchased’ emerged victoriously and walked away with INR 2,38,572 after defeating online grinder Wilson Yomso aka ‘kalingkaling’ who eventually rested in the runner-up position for INR 1,67,400.

Goa Fest

Monday nights are reserved for Goa Fest INR 8 Lakhs GTD on Adda52. Each player registered for a buy-in of INR 4,000 to enter the tournament at 8 pm sharp. Powering through the field was ‘bossman_anmol’ taking away INR 2,22,400 and adding a valuable amount to his poker bankroll. The winner defeated ‘Madman7’ who managed to bag INR 1,30,000.

The tournament ended at 2:30 am and before that the top remaining players received a payout including Sumit Sapra aka ‘Hammer_Head’ (6th), Vishwanath Borhade aka ‘vish4u2’ (8th), Uttam Kumar Sinha aka ‘chinunew’ (12th) and others.

Monday Hustle

At 7:30 pm sharp, several hopefuls entered the tournament for a buy-in of INR 3,300 in PokerStars Monday Hustle INR 6 Lakhs GTD. The grinding continued for 7 long hours until the winner was seen powering through the field. ‘vinaash’ fired 6 bullets and defeated ‘CougarHunter69’ adding another title to his poker cabinet after pocketing INR 1,19,269. The latter managed to take home INR 88,951 as the runner-up prize.

After many grinding and gruelling sessions, the top places were paid out including Ashutosh Balodhi aka ‘Msnugget’ (7th), Sunday Special winner Sagar Choudhury aka ‘sagarpupull’ (8th), Shagun Jain aka ‘Sogani22’ (17th) and so on.

StackUp

9stacks hosted StackUp INR 2.5 Lakhs at 7:59 pm sharp, outlasting the field was an anonymous yet known player ‘MalgudiDays’ who shipped the tournament for INR 67,500. The field was good enough to reach the guaranteed amount as each entry chipped in INR 1,650 buy-in.
