Lakshay Narula Finishes Second at PokerHigh’s The Player Hunt

The Player Hunt is an online poker reality show presented by poker platform PokerHigh. Since its announcement, many poker players in the country have been looking forward to it. The Player Hunt is one of India’s first poker reality shows. It was hosted by the famous Bollywood actor and host, Rannvijay Singh who is also a well-known figure in the poker circuit.

The reality show kick-started in January. Among the players, it was Lakshay Narula that managed to finish second in the show. When asked how he felt about coming in second, Narula revealed, “It was a great opportunity to be a part of something so unique and exquisite. I was super happy to finish in the second place as the runner-up of a show that’s one of its kind.”

When asked about his poker journey, Narula explained, “My poker journey started back in 2013 when I moved to Turkey and my flatmate Onur taught me how to play poker. Initially, I found the game to be all about luck but after a few months of playing the game I realized that it was also about strategy, patience and perseverance.”

Now it has been seven years since this poker powerhouse first started playing poker. In that time, Narula has played in over 200 plus tournaments. He admits that after all these years, he has come to the realization that every poker player has a particular process that they follow.

As to how he got into The Player Hunt, Narula explains that he was first approached by Shifa Maitra from Brand & Stories for the show. Narula reveals that she has been his mentor since his initial hosting and anchoring days. Once he auditioned, he was placed in the top 12 contestants and that tournament began from there.
