Joey Weissman Is The New US Poker Open Champion

According to a report by HIGHSTAKES DB, Joey Weissman was crowned winner of the US Poker Open Championship right after making an impressive comeback. Reports stated that Adam Hendrix and Heads up had held a 6:1 chip lead against Joey Weissman. But Weissman was given the name ‘Double-up.’ And even though Hendrix battled hard against Weissman yet there was no denying that the comeback kid finally emerged victorious.

Reports stated that the odd-numbered events this week at the US Poker Open in Vegas meant that No Limit Hold’em was on the final table schedule. Joey Weissman shipped the fifth tournament at the Aria, but he was still short of five double ups to grab the title as well as a handful of leaderboard race points. Reports stated that the $10,000 buy-in event had a total of 85 entries creating an $85,00,00 prize pool. Daniel Negreanu had finished in 10th place winning a total of $25,500 while also continuing his daily USPO improvement. By the end of the day, the field had been cut down to just seven. It came down to five when Brock Wilson defeated Vincent Bosca. But then Brock himself bowed out.

HIGHSTAKES DB reported that chip leader Hendrix beat Cary Katz, Frank Funaro and Joe McKeehen, the winner of 2015 WSOP Main Event. This left Hendrix on a third spot which was good enough to escalate his position to the top of the USPO leaderboard after he had won just two days ago. Further reports stated that after several double ups, including one with pocket aces, Joey Weissman battled it out and took the chip lead away from Hendrix.

Further reports stated that Hendrix had called with ace-jack suited while Weissman had shoved queen-deuce suited. Hendrix, despite battling till the final table, had to settle for the runner-up prize of $1,44,500. And Weissman had improved to a flush taking home the title of US Poker Open and a prize of $2,04,000.

The Final Results were as follows:
