Jagdeep Singh finishes runner-up in TIPS 2.0 Highroller

The Indian Poker Series (TIPS) began its 2^nd edition at Kings Resort in the Czech city of Rozvadov. TIPS was scheduled between 6-11 March 2019 and today will be the final day of the series. The highlight of the festival, the €350 Main Event has reached Final 17 players who will play for the title today.

Apart from the Main Event, TIPS & KENTA €770 Europe Highroller was also hosted and saw a total of 93 entries (12 re-entries) being attracted. The buy-in was individually chipped in by the field and the resulting prize pool came to €61,845 (~INR 48.61 Lakhs).

Overcoming the field and winning the TIPS Highroller title was Israel’s Liad Greenberg (pictured above). He won €15,097 (~INR 11.86 Lakhs) after making a heads-up deal with India’s Jagdeep Singh (pictured below in another event). Singh took home €14,000 (~INR 11 Lakhs) from the deal, a good amount which isn’t far from the winner amount itself.

Singh is one of many Indians who have gone to TIPS 2.0 this time and made deep runs there. Among Indians, he has made the best cash of this series. Other Indians to win a tournament in the series previously were Jayant Yewale winning Turbo Noon Freezeout and Ankit Kapoor winning Turbo Omaha event. They earned  pay-outs of €700 and €2,746 respectively.

Coming to Singh, he is a strong live player from the capital city of New Delhi, India. He captained the Haryana Hawks team who won Match IPL 2 in April 2018. He finished 6^th in the Asian Pairs Challenge where he represented Team India. He made the most money in Indian Cash Kings, a cash game hosted in Kings Resort after TIPS Season 1 got over, so he clearly Rozvadov as a poker venue.
