Poker term ‘Dolly Parton’ is a nickname given to the Hold’em hand 95. This is with reference to the 1980s Dolly Parton movie ‘9 to 5.’
An American singer, songwriter, actress, author among other zillion things. Parton recently made headlines when she donated USD 1 Million to Vanderbilt University Medical center, which worked with Moderna, the drug company that developed coronavirus vaccines.
This American comedy film was released in 1980, and it was directed by Colin Higgins. The film traces the lives of three bold working women who make their fantasies come true; overthrowing their supremely dominant company. Dolly Parton starred in the film ‘Nine to Five’ and also wrote the song with the same name.
The poker hand is also called workers hand or office hours. In the previous year, the Dolly Parton challenge of uploading a collage of four photos with their LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and Tinder images. This challenge had gained much traction across the globe and several Indian and global poker players also tried their hand at the challenge.
There must be several poker players who get a Dolly Parton whilst grinding live or online.
