Hendon Mob to now allow account deletion

Poker lovers around the world should be aware of The Hendon Mob, which is the largest live poker database in the world. Powered by GPI (Global Poker Index), the website has archives of years of live tournament history, along with individual player profiles, with up-to-date statistics of players and events around the world.

They may be the most comprehensive poker tournament data aggregator in the world and the most trusted source for global poker content, but in a recent development, they will be forced to make some changes to their system due to the European Union’s data protection and privacy laws.

As per the per the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) rules, The Hendon Mob will now allow players to be able to delete an account on their name and/or rename existing accounts with a nickname. They receive poker tournament results directly from the tournament operators and while it cannot be 100% accurate, it is still the best bet available online.

There are many players who wish to not publicize their names online, while several others who don’t mind publicizing their names, but not their winnings. For all these privacy issues, Hendon will soon have an option of deleting player accounts or renaming them as well. Now, players with a desire to hide their results may have a way to do it.

About The Hendon Mob

The Hendon Mob was originally a group of four poker players from England who appeared on various poker TV shows:

The tournament database website first launched in 2000 and after a lot of growth, they were acquired by the Global Poker Index in 2013, and they now have a database of over 250,000 players from around the world. GPI CEO Alexandre Dreyfus, like most others, also believes that Hendon Mob is the best poker database in the world.
