GGPoker Introduces SnapCam Live Video Feature

With online poker on the rise ever since the pandemic, poker enthusiasts have been criticising the lack of interaction in online poker as compared to live poker. For most people sitting at the table, it is more about social interaction, meeting new people, and having the time of your life gambling. Well, GGPoker is here with a solution in an attempt to change the impersonal experience in playing online.

GGPoker’s new SnapCam feature will allow players to record videos at the tables of up to 15 seconds per video by making use of their own webcam. The recorded footage can then be shared with everyone around the virtual table and this will in essence allow online players to share with their fellow players exactly how they feel while grinding. Users will have to click on a green movie camera icon next to the emoji and chat box icon, to record and share a video with their fellow table mates.

Players seated at the virtual tables can share up to four SnapCam videos during the game. Any player exceeding the four limit mark, the video will be added in a queue for future transmission. Those users who are not keen on this new feature can simply mute their chat function. By doing so the SnapCam feature will be disabled as long as the function remains muted. Players will also be in a position to mute video footage from certain fellow players only.

GGPoker has cautioned players about sharing offensive content through the latest SnapCam feature such as sexist or racist in nature and even online harassments. While a little fun trash talk is likely permitted, any players abusing the feature will lose access to SnapCam and may be dealt with further, depending on the severity of the violation.

GGPoker’s newest feature is mostly welcomed in terms of it being geared towards attracting more recreational players to the game. Recreational players have also at times have been picked on by pros looking to make a quick buck off their inexperience. Being able to at least occasionally, see who is seated on the other side of the table should allow players to feel more at ease about the nature of their opponents.
