Friday Round Up: Abhinav Iyer, Sanish Chhabra, ‘pokraj’ And ‘dilbaghsingh’ Clinched Winning Titles


The tournaments on Spartan Poker, PokerBaazi, and Adda52 had several online regs competing against each other to grab the top spot. Spartan Poker’s Covid-19 relief Futuristic tournament also took place yesterday. Let’s do a quick recap of all the action that went down on these online poker platforms.

Futuristic – ₹12 Lakh GTD

The COVID-19 relief Futuristic tournament was conducted by Spartan Poker yesterday. The platform had announced that the rake collected from this tournament will be donated to Mission Zindagi COVID-19 relief seva. Spartan Poker collaborated with The Art of Living, The International Association for Human Values (IAHV) and Indian film and television community.

This tournament had 826 entries in total and the top 119 players were paid a min-cash of ₹2,700. This ₹1,000 buy-in event was shipped by Sanish Chhabra aka ‘Sanish21’ who happily took home ₹2,26,080 in prize money. Chhabra was followed by Kanishka Samant aka ‘Wildflower’ who cashed ₹1,37,520.

On quizzing Chhabra about his victory and the feeling of contributing to such a noble cause, he said, “It was a pleasure to be a part of it.”

The Elite – ₹40 Lakh GTD

The Elite tournament on Spartan Poker had 476 entries in total and poker pro Abhinav Iyer aka ‘hightr0ller’ flawlessly clinched the winning title. Iyer thickened his bankroll with ₹9,54,380.

This ₹11,000 buy-in tournament had an advertised guarantee of ₹40 Lakh but it was crushed with a margin of around 7 Lakh. The final prize pool was ₹47,60,000. The top 39 players in the field won a min-cash of ₹32,844.

Adda52 – The Ballers – ₹22.5 Lakh GTD

Adda52’s The Ballers tournament was a ₹7,500 buy-in event and the top 34 players in this tournament were paid a min-cash of ₹15,824. This tournament was won by an anonymous player ‘pokraj’ who took home ₹5,65,125 in prize money.

The Weekly Highroller – 12 Lakh GTD

This ₹11,000 buy-in tournament was shipped by ‘dilbaghsingh’ who laughed his way to the bank with ₹4.76 Lakh. This tournament has 197 entries in total and the top 24 players were paid a min-cash of ₹18,910.
