ElkY and Bicknell claim titles on Natural8 GGSeries!

Looking at the current scenario around the world, the poker players have just found the right time to put aside the daily hustle-bustle and thicken their poker bankrolls by turning towards online poker events. Like that, several live tournament brands are also teaming up with the leading names in the industry to host few highly popular series. Now turning towards online series, the day 22-day long haul of Natural8 GGSeries 2020 concluded yesterday. The series began on 5 April pulling in a giant field of nearly 42,379 entries crushing the $50 million GTD with a grand prize pool of $60.70 million across 51 events.

The admiration for the mind sport holds true when we turn towards the latest addition to the GGPoker team Bertrand Grospillier aka ‘ElkY’ who despite being tested positive for COVID-19 recently, proved his passion for the game. ElkY outlasted a field of 644 entries in GGs 369-H $250 event and seized the first-place prize money of 25.7k. The advertised guarantee $100k was easily surpassed to create $148k with the top 107 players ending in the money. Grospillier defeated ‘hur5t’ in heads-up who bagged $18,650 for settling in the second position.

That wasn’t enough for the champ who ended up in the 6th place in GGS 373: $1K Turbo earning $5,664. The penultimate day hosting GGS 084-H: $500 also saw ‘ElkY’ finishing in the third place and grabbing $4,283.

The GPI Player of the Year winner Kristen Bicknell aka ‘Krissyb24’ was also spotted taking down GGS 369-HR: $2.5K. The Canadian powered through a field of 85 entries and added $44,304 cash prize to her poker bankroll after defeating ‘VaPaCooler’ in heads-up. Running deep in the final day, Bicknell also cashed in several tournaments with a second-place finish for $36k in GGS 363-HR: $2.5K. Interestingly, she ranked 8th in the GGSeries leaderboard accumulating 18k points and securing $10,200 prize money.

The leading Asian Poker Tour (APT) has also teamed up with Natural8 for the first-time ever to bring 2020 APT Online Series. The series is slated to run between 29 April to 10 May 2020, featuring 62 events and over 180 satellites and more than $1.5 million GTD in prizes.
