A documentary featuring poker player Thor Hansen has been released on Vimeo. This Norwegian poker player was one of the most loved players of his generation. Through his career, he gained lots of success. Last week, it was revealed that the documentary titled, ‘Smile,’ will give you a better look at Hansen’s life and will help everyone understand his life away from the felts too.
Hansen’s biggest success throughout his career was when he won the World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet twice. He won the first bracelet in 1988 and the second in 2002. Hansen’s success was celebrated by his country as he was the first Norwegian to win the poker player of the year title. Hansen became a role model for all the aspiring poker players. This two-time WSOP bracelet winner was diagnosed with cancer in 2012, and six years later, in December 2018 he passed away.
What does the Documentary feature?
- It mainly looks into the impact that Hansen had on Scandinavian players and the significance of his game. The documentary, produced by Linn Amundsen and Kari Wale is available to the audiences on Vimeo, a video hosting and sharing platform.
- The 75 minutes long documentary captures mixed emotions and includes several snippets of his wife Marcella Braswell who sheds light on some of the most heartwarming tales from the pros’ life.
- The documentary extensively covers the success of Hansen from the mega prize pool events in Las Vegas when he was just 23.
