Delhi Crime’s Gopal Datt signed by 9stacks

Gopal Datt¸an Indian actor who has worked in films like Tere Naam, Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai and Filmistan, was roped in by 9stacks, one of the up and coming poker platforms, to cover its #LFGVegas 2.0 promotion in the poker capital of the world, Las Vegas.

The above-mentioned 9stacks promotion was back for the 2nd time on the platform. The promotion (11th Jan – 31st May) included playing on LFG tagged tables and earning points to claim rewards. Earning 50k points would get you INR 2 Lakhs Grinder package which includes travel and stay in Vegas and the packages get heftier with more points.

Datt will be flying to Vegas to cover the overall World Series of Poker (WSOP) which is special this time because it will be hosted for the 50th time. Datt, already involved in theatre acting since ’89, shot to fame following his work with Cyrus Broacha and in multiple TVF web-shows.

Recently, Datt acted in a Netflix original ‘Delhi Crime’ for which he received immense praise from critics. He was roped in because he is also a poker enthusiast and plays it whenever he gets the chance.

Sudhir Kamath, CEO of 9stacks said, “Gopal Datt and his trademark brand of humour are very relatable, refreshing and honest. He truly connects with the players and with his viewers and we believe that having him on board with us in Vegas to cover the WSOP 2019 will help us bring India closer to poker.

Datt also commented on this development saying, “Poker has always fascinated me as an actor. Both acting and playing poker involve an intense obsession with understanding human behaviour and predicting the next move. It is an extremely challenging sport that I will be witnessing live in Vegas with #9stacksTeamIndia. This year is going to be special as WSOP celebrates its 50th anniversary and I’m looking forward to meeting all the upcoming poker talent from India.

Last year, the 9stacks Indian contingent took pros the likes of Nishant SharmaVivek RughaniMayank JaggiSanjay Taneja, and others to Vegas and among those Sharma and Rughani ran quite deep in the Main Event, Sharma having recorded the best finish by an Indian. Rughani also finished 88th and made the country proud. Here’s a video 9stacks created to mark the partnership:
