David Peters Wins Third USPO Title—Golden Eagle Trophy

According to a report by Las Vegas Review-Journal, David Peters won his third US Poker Open title in five days. Reports stated that Peters won three of the twelve events and cashed a total of $83,29,50 at the PokerGo studio. He nailed the Golden Eagle trophy after a tough fight. 

Peters stated, “It’s nice having those accolades or securing your legacy, or just having those memories to look back on when I’m 70 or whatever, to think about how cool that was. It means something to me for sure.”

According to media reports, Peters already has two WSOP bracelets. And according to the Hendon Mob poker database, the poker pro has more than $34 million in tournament earnings.

Reports stated that Peters had finished with 646 points in the US Poker Open (USPO). Sam Soverel got eliminated in fifth place of the $50,000 buy-in No-limit Hold’em Main Event. Sean Winter moved up to second with 484 points and Ali Imsirovic missed by just one point, finishing with 483 points.

Further reports stated that all the US Poker Open tournaments had buy-ins of $10,000 or more. Peters made a late surge with three victories in five days in events like, $10,000 No-limit Hold’em, $10,000 Short Deck and $25,000 No-limit Hold’em held on the 7th, 10th and 11thJune.  All these events featured fewer than 100 players in the elite field. 

Peters also said, “I enjoy the competition of playing against great players. It’s also more of a fun atmosphere when you’re playing against people who you play with all the time. You have more things to talk about.”
