Daniel Negreanu signs as GGPoker Brand Ambassador

One of the most recognized poker players in the world, Daniel Negreanu announced on Wednesday morning, signing a deal with GGPoker as a network ambassador. He parted ways with PokerStars almost six months ago after being a crucial part since 2007.

The news made into headlines after the 6-time bracelet winner posted a video to Twitter and explaining the decision. “In a very short time, GGPoker has really made a name for itself in the online space. In their last GG series, you’re talking about $50 million in guarantees, up from about $3 million the year before. More than that, it’s really the software. The mobile client is super user-friendly, fun and engaging.”

GGPoker is upcoming in the market but doesn’t serve the US-based poker players. Negreanu worked with PokerStars for 12 years before splitting with the world’s largest online poker room earlier this year before the 2019 WSOP. Working for over a decade, he had been a defender of the company and constantly helping the online poker operators to come out during difficult times.

GGPoker will largely benefit from its current brand ambassador. The company offers features that aren’t found on other sites. According to PokerScout, they rank 3rd in the world and ahead of partypoker in terms of cash game traffic, with a seven-day average of 1,500 cash game players whereas 1,200 in partypoker.

On this happy note, GGPoker posted on its website, announcing a special promotion named $100,000 GTD Daniel Negreanu Challenge. Four tournaments with two players from each will qualify for the ultimate challenge. In this way, the 8 qualifiers will take their seats at the final table along with Negreanu. The tournament is scheduled to run from November 30 to December 22, 2019.

However, their most notable ambassador to date has always been Bryn KenneyKitty Kuo and Michael Soyza. Negreanu along with Kenney, the two of them combine for more than $97 million in total live earnings along with two of the top three spots on the All-Time money list.

GGPoker added to their Facebook page, “Today marks a milestone of momentous proportions, eclipsing all previous developments. We’re delighted to officially announce GGPoker’s new partnership with Daniel Negreanu, Canadian Card King and the decade’s poker darling.”
