Comedian Kevin Hart signed by partypoker!

We’re sure that the very popular Kevin Darnell Hart needs to introduction. The American actor, producer and stand-up comedian has been in the industry since years and he always manages to find himself in the news every now and then. He’s had a long-standing relationship with our poker industry as well, and has recently been signed on by partypoker!

When it comes to the global poker industry, partypoker has been one of the worldwide leaders, probably only second to PokerStars, but that is quite debatable as well. Over the last couple of years, PokerStars has actually been cleaning up their list of brand ambassadors, with quite a few of them ‘ending their relationship’ with the brand.

A number of top names have left the company and there hasn’t been any clear reasons in most cases. Kevin Hart was one such name that was promoting PokerStars, but has now been signed on by their biggest rivals, partypoker. It’s actually not the first time that someone has made the switch from Stars to partypoker, with names like Jaime StaplesBertrand Grospellier and others all doing the same.

To announce this latest association, partypoker’s Rob Yong took to Twitter where he tweeted a video of the same. He said, “I asked my man Kevin Hart to help me promote amateur poker. He’s the highest stakes amateur player in the world and I want him to help me promote amateur poker, promote poker to the masses.”

While partypoker has been signing on poker pros from across the globe, this would be considered as one of their biggest signings, with Yong also calling Hart a ‘global ambassador’ of the game of poker. Regarding joining Team partypoker, Hart said, “I’m here to party, I’m here to make it a good time. Expect the world of poker to get a lot more fun.”

Incidentally, this was very much along the lines of what he said when he joined PokerStars a couple of years back, saying he was there to make poker fun once again. For fans however, it’s going to be the same Kevin Hart playing on the same tables, with the only thing to change being the patch he wears.
