Poker pro Chris Moneymaker became a star when he won the 2003 WSOP Main Event and $2.5 million in prize money. The latest news reports about the poker powerhouse state that he is on board as a pro with Americas Cardroom. The platform is an US-themed online poker site which was founded in 2001 and is headquartered in San José, Costa Rica. Furthermore, Chris Moneymaker signing-up with Americas Cardroom hasn’t surprised anyone as he exited PokerStars in December 2020. A tweet shared by Moneymaker stated how he ended his 17 year long association with the poker platform.

It was widely reported that PokerStars is revamping its marketing strategy. The brands newly formed marketing strategies led to some poker stalwarts cutting ties with the platform. Apart from Moneymaker, Celina Lin and Muska Sethi also bid adieu to PokerStars. The die-hard fans of Chris Moneymaker were reportedly upset with PokerStars and also made their displeasure known on social media. Celina Lin also shared a tweet about her exit from PokerStars after almost a decade.

The online poker platform from Winning Poker Network’s (WPN) hood is surely making headlines. The online poker room’s collaboration with poker heavyweight Chris Moneymaker is expected to be a profitable step for the brand. As per news reports, in a promotional video, Moneymaker stated, “You guessed it, I’m a new pro at Americas Cardroom.” The poker champion also added, “I’m really proud to join the team and looking forward to working with you guys,” he added, calling it “the fastest online poker internet site in the world.” Moneymaker as the new brand ambassador for Americas Cardroom also reportedly commented on the platform’s $8 million Venom Final Table in a livestream on Twitch.
