Baadshah Gaming partners with Connective Games

In a recent development, one of the leading online and live poker brands in India, Baadshah Gaming, has partnered with Malta-based Connective Games. The deal was announced in the wee hours of 1st February on Connective Games’ website.

Connective Games is one of the most reputed software development companies on the planet. The company boasts over 70 employees across Russia and Malta. Their site describes the company as a specialist “in developing highly localized products taking into account peculiarities of local markets to successfully compete with the global brands.”

Madhav ‘Maddy’ Gupta, CEO and Founder of Baadshah Gaming, talked about the deal saying, “Connective Games is one of the most powerful and successful online poker technology providers in the world and was an obvious choice for us. We were particularly impressed with their mobile product which provides excellent player experiences we have ever witnessed.”

Baadshah Gaming’s largest stakeholder is the Casino Pride Group, who purchased a 30% stake in Kolkata-based OceanKing Software Solutions LLP, who ultimately operates the company. Baadshah Gaming was founded by Gupta, an avid poker enthusiast. He had been operating the poker room in Casino Pride for several years before starting his venture.

Baadshah had received second-stage funding back in June 2018 and the company had promised to spend INR 15 Crores just on marketing in 2018. Following this, a deal with one of Asia’s biggest poker brands, Asian Poker Tour (APT) was also signed by Baadshah in July 2018.

Baadshah Gaming has been in the upper echelons of the Indian poker scene since the time they were established. Their Baadshah Live Tournament (BLT) saw its third edition in September last year and proved to be a multi-week festival adrenaline pumping poker action. Aditya Sushant had won the ME here for INR 8.85 Lakhs.

Connective Games’ CEO Serge Mukhanov also weighed in on the deal saying, “We are proud to have been chosen by Baadshah Gaming to power their poker proposition. The Indian market offers huge potential and we believe our technology combined with their branding will be a winning formula.

This newly formed partnership will help enable Baadshah to further deepen their roots in the Indian market and community by leveraging the technology and experience that Connective Games would bring, especially for mobile-app players.
