The Asian Poker Tour (APT) is one of the biggest poker brands in Asia, with a regular schedule of live poker stops across various locations in Asia including Manila, Macau, Vietnam, and others. Players from across the continent wait to be a part of these series and share the massive prize pools on offer.
The APT ran successful stops this year too, with the most recent one being one at the Pro Poker Club in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. Several tournaments were held here with Japan’s Tetsuya Tsuchikawa winning the prestigious Main Event, while one of India’s best female pros Nikita Luther also made a deep run, finishing 11th for VND 135,160,000 (~INR 4,30,600).
Now, the company has also announced that they will be hosting another stop in Vietnam soon, to celebrate the start of the 2019 APT Season. For the second year in a row, APT will be hosting their opening series at Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, and the APT Kickoff Vietnam 2019 is scheduled between 9-20 January 2019.
The event schedule and qualifier details will also be announced at a later date, as the 2018 APT Finale is still to be played before the new season begins. This finale was recently moved from Macau to Manila due to regulatory issues and is scheduled between 27 November and 6 December 2018.
Ho Chi Minh is slowly becoming a preferred poker location Asia and we can expect many more stops made here in the months to come. The Asia Poker League (APL) has also announced APL Vol. 3 at this location which is scheduled between 15-25 November 2018 and will have a Main Event buy-in of VND 16,500,000 (~INR 52,000).
