Asia Poker League (APL) made its debut into the Asian poker scene back in 2016, since then it has been one of the highly-anticipated live poker events in the world. Founded by Judic Kim, a Korean games promoter, the live event has garnered huge crowds of poker players from all parts of the globe.
After live poker events were shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, many of the live events were hosted online. Just this February, the APL too hosted an online series on the well-known Asian poker platform, GGPoker. Now, with COVID-19 restrictions being lifted slowly, APL is getting its live events back with a bang and they are doing a phenomenal job of giving poker players the opportunity to get back to live poker. APL Hanoi 2021 is set to run from 3–11 April and will have a guaranteed prize pool worth VND 6.6 Billion (INR 2.09 Crore).
