APT Online: Artur leads Championships Event; Ngai Li Monster Stack


The 15-day long Asian Poker Tour (APT) Online Series 2nd Edition has already given out $8 million, quickly nearing its end. The $10 million GTD series concluded the APT Online Main Event and with that another highlighting tournament the Championships Event $1 million GTD kicked off yesterday. So, let’s take a quick look at Day 12 winners on Asia-facing online poker room Natural8

Championships Event $1 million GTD

The buy-in to the 14 starting flight APT Online Championships Event is $800 extending between 25 – 28 June promising a whopping $1 million GTD. The four starting flights recorded 331 entries with 66 survivors leading to the showdown. Powering through the field and accumulating the largest stack is Russian pro Artur Martirosian with 841,850 chips. Following the overall chip leader are ‘COL_Moutarde’ with 715K chips in second place and ‘JeeyTy’ in third place for 679K chips.

Monster Stack $250K GTD

Natural8 hosted Monster Stack $250K GTD and the starting two flights garnered 276 entries. A total of 13 flights remain. Only 81 players progressed to the final day scheduled on 28 June at 7 pm. It was Hong Kong’s Vincent Kwun Ngai Li aka ‘Peleus34’ who amassed a stack of 291,486 to become the overall chip leader. Ngai Li is followed by ‘davidhe’ with 151,057 chips and ‘Who is Tony’ in the third-place bagging 212,401 chips.

Flights completed:

  • 25 June: 52 advanced out of 180 entries
  • 26 June: 29 advanced out of 96 entries

Event 156: Monster Stack $100K GTD

After 4+ hours of intense grinding session, the Swedish player ‘myclass’ came out on top to claim the APT Online Monster Stack title for $18,179 in prize money. The event pulled in 533 entries across the six starting flights out of which only 153 remaining players took their seats on the final day. Before the tournament ended, the top 71 players finished ITM. ‘myclass’ knocked put ‘Mario.Zwanzleitner’ in heads-up and the latter grabbed $12,958 for finishing second. Indian player ‘gm.ind’ finished 7th for $2,741.

  2. Zwanzleitner – $ 12,958.46
  3. relentlesss – $ 9,498.51
  4. propofol-san – $ 6,962.38
  5. TheCrippler – $ 5,103.40
  6. TschuessiBaba – $ 3,740.78
  7. gm.ind – $ 2,741.98
  8. chowmein – $ 2,009.86
  9. bigwind666 – $ 1,473.21

Event 180: High Roller $75K GTD

The $1,000 buy-in High Roller saw ‘TheGreatDanton’ conquering a field of 76 runners to claim $18,201 in first prize. Eventually, the top 11 places were paid out before the champion was announced. ‘TheGreatDanton’ outlasted ‘MarkHateley’ in heads-up and the latter secured the runner-up position walking out with $13,865 for his efforts. This was the largest prize money of the day, slightly edging Monster Stack winner ‘myclass’ (read above).
