APT Finale 2018 Manila commences today

The Asian Poker Tour (APT) is a world-renowned brand in poker, touring all over Asia-Pacific throughout the year. APT had recently announced their 2018 Finale to take place in Manila, following the venue change from Macau, which was cancelled due to various reasons. Today, the APT 2018 Finale is all set begin in Resorts World Manila.

For Indians, playing tournaments in countries like Philippines, Vietnam, etc. is relatively cheaper, making these destinations a hotspot for players looking to win international titles. Manila has seen many Indians winning titles and cash prizes, some of them being Kunal PatniChiraag Patel and Sahil Agarwal. Patni had plans to play in the APT Finale but had to cancel them due to various reasons. Still, we can easily expect a significant Indian turnout at the Finale.

The APT Finale in Manila will be hosted for a period of 10 days, from Nov 27 to Dec 6. There are many events lined up for the pleasure the crowd, OFC Pineapple events, PLOs, and NLHs. The Main Event of the APT 2018 Finale is the PHP 10,000,000 GTD (~INR 1.35 Crores). The buy-in for the Main Event is set at PHP 55,000 (INR 74,335).

There will be three satellites hosted for the Main Event between Nov 27-29. The Main Event will begin with two starting flights on Nov 28 and 29, culminating in the Main Event Final Eight to be held on Dec 2. Previous APT series was held in Vietnam, just last month, with Tetsuya Tsuchikawa winning the Main Event.

The other featured event of APT is the high-stakes Championships Event, a regular appearance in past APT tours, which has the same guaranteed prize pool as the Main Event but with a higher buy-in of PHP 165,000 (~INR 2.23 Lakhs). The event will run between Dec 3-6, with the Championships Event Final Eight being the finale.

Other high-stakes event included in the festival is the Super High Rollers with PHP 500,000 buy-in, which will run for two days, Nov 27 and 28.
