Andrew Moreno Clinches Wynn Millions 2021 For $14,60,106

The highly-anticipated $1,00,00,000 Wynn Millions finally concluded amid much fanfare. The $10,000 buy-in tournament was shipped by Andrew Moreno, who defeated 1,328 entries to win the prestigious title.

The 1,328 entries narrowed down to nine players on the final table, who fought with all their might for 11 hours. The 38-year-old Moreno clinched the winning title and took home a massive $14,60,106 in prize money.

Just days before the Wynn Millions series started, the poker pro shared a post on his social media handle. He stated, “In April I decided that I wanted to really focus on playing and studying live poker tournaments. I created two main goals for myself. The first was to move my career earnings to over $1 million dollars. I accomplished that with my most recent win at the venetian $1,100 buy-in where I bested a field of 637 players and took home $1,27,740.

The second goal I have this year is to get that elusive 7 figure cash I’ve been chasing. To help me accomplish this I secured a tournament coach (wishes to remain nameless) that I am very excited about working with. A special thank you to Kristy Moreno. We’re such a great team together. I’m beyond grateful to share in parenthood with you. See you soon little man. Oh, and by the way, you’ve already cashed in a tournament and been in a winners photo with your parents. So please remember we are cool when you’re a teenager.”

Seems like the poker pro has finally achieved his goal of earning a seven-figure cash by nailing the Wynn Millions title for ALSO READ: $14,60,106. Moreno is married to former Poker News hostess Kristy Arnett, who is expecting her first child with Moreno.

Expressing his excitement after the win, the Wynn Millions winner said, “I’m grateful above all else. I think just declaring what I wanted to do was really important to me because I believed in myself and I wanted to hold myself accountable. I’m just so shocked it happened so quickly.”

“I’ll be playing up until and through the WSOP until my son is born and then I’m taking a nice long break. This is what I will always remember. I’m just happy to have all these people here with me,” he added.

It took 53 hands before Lion Yiming Lee departed the final table and took home $2,02,765 at the ninth spot. Lee’s king-queen lost to Julian Milliard-Feral’s pocket sevens. 24 hands, Joe Kuether shoved a small blind with queen-four yet lost to Jaime Cervantes who called from the big with ace-seven to get Kuether out of his way. With $2,40,302 in his bank account Kuether left other pros to battle it out.

Cervantes couldn’t last longer as he busted thanks to Toby Lewis and his pocket queens for $2,89,361. Lewis’ next target was Philip Shing, who called off with jack-nine suited against Lewis’ small blind with king-eight. Shing added $3,60,140 to his bankroll at the sixth spot.

Clayton Maguire marched ahead with a 2:1 chip lead over Lewis and Salim Admon. Moreno and Milliard-Feral were still short-stacked. Milliard-Feral’s ace-queen couldn’t survive the pocket tens that Lewis threw in as the former got busted for $4,56,629 at the fifth position.

Soon after Moreno called with his pocket queens to send off Admon whose pocket nines did no good to him. Admon walked away with $6,19,160 at the fourth spot. By eliminating Admon, Moreno gathered enough stack to compete against Maguire and Lewis.

Maguire then threw Lewis out in order to continue in a heads-up game against Moreno. In the final hand, Moreno defeated Maguire’s ace-king with his ace-queen, as the board dramatically opened with two queens and made Moreno the king of Wynn Millions 2021.
