3 Indians among Final 17 in TIPS Main Event

The Indian Poker Series (TIPS) Season 2 is in its final stages now. Only one day is remaining in the series which began a few days ago on 6th March 2019. The series is currently hosting the €350 Main Event which had a total of 6 flights and together attracted a field of 1,417 entries to the felt. Today is the final day of the Main Event, which now has only 17 players remaining.

Leading the pack of 17 is Israel’s Kfir Tubi with 8,195,000 chips bagged up yesterday. Trailing in chips counts behind Tubi is India’s well-known circuit player Pulkit Goyal with 7,635,000 chips. Goyal is leading in chip counts among the 3 Indians that have played extremely well to make the Final Day. Adda52 Team Pro Tarun Goyal sits at 10th place with 3,545,000 chips and behind him is Gaurav Gupta at 16th with 1,845,000 chips.

The three Indians named above are all good players, having showcased their skills pretty impressively so far. Pulkit and Tarun are ace players in the Indian circuit. Tarun won the Adda52 Millions title online last November and is a regular on online felts. Pulkit, among his recent deep runs and wins, finished 2nd in Jan 2019’s IOPC SHR and won a good runner-up amount of over INR 22 Lakhs there.

The 6th and final starting flight was hosted in the Turbo format at the venue, Kings Casino, Rozvadov. The flight attracted 226 entries and those who survived joined another 278 entries that progressed from the 5 previous flights. The 300+ field has now whittled down to just 17 players.

Coming to the chip leader, Tubi is an Israeli and has relatively few live cashes but he has the chip lead, so he has the best chance among the field to win the Main Event. If he does, he will earn a good first-place cash prize of €86,971 (~INR 68.34 Lakhs) out of the created prize pool.

The TIPS 2.0 edition began on a good note and as expected, the series gathered an awesome field for the Main Event wihch included many Indians too. The side-events also became popular and 2 Indians, Ankit Kapoor and Jayant Yewale won two of them in the series.

The final 17 players in the Main Event will contest today for the winner to be declared. Keep reading GutshotMagazine.com to know the winner of the TIPS 2.0 ME and for other poker news from around the world.
