26th LA Poker Classic to begin in Jan 2019

Commerce Casino, one of the most reputed cardrooms in LA is all set to host the Los Angeles Poker Classic (LAPC), which will see the light for the 26^th year. LAPC is scheduled to run between 16^th January to 6^th March 2019.

The series will feature a staggering 69 different action-packed events. The variety of events in this festival is mind-blowing. Games like H.O.R.S.E. and Pineapple will also be featured, along with plenty of other unique events. The series will kick off with the $500K Kick-Off Event which has 17 starting flights on first four days of the festival.

The festival will also see plenty of high-stakes events, all culminating in the highest guaranteed event, the LAPC Main Event, and is expected to give out at least $1 million to just the winner. The series will wrap up with the Main Event, which has a buy-in of $10,000. The satellites to be hosted for this would be the biggest in the history of LAPC, with 100 seats GTD in one day.

Matt Savage, LAPC Tournament Director, said “The LAPC Main Event has been a staple of the World Poker Tour from the very beginning. Our goal is to give players of every bankroll an opportunity to participate in this prestigious event. On March 1st, there will be two Mega Satellites with 50 Main Event seats guaranteed in each. That’s $1,000,000 worth of seats in one day, and something that you’ll only see at The Commerce.”

Justin Hammer, LAPC Tournament Coordinator also spoke his mind saying, “The LAPC features more variations of poker than any other series in the world. We strive to make poker fun again, and I’m happy to be able to provide added prizes to players who succeed throughout the series. The Remington is the greatest trophy in poker in my opinion, and I’m very excited to see who earns one this year.”

Other high-stakes events of the series include The LAPC One Million, The Great Wall of Chips, The Jacked Stack, The Social Experiment, Time’s up and the All-in or Fold tournaments. The series will also feature four unique Player of the Series promotions with Commerce adding extra $50K for the winners.
