Pedro Cairat Wins MILLIONS Grand Final Finale Event

Over a week of intense poker action at the Casino Barcelona has finally come to an end, where several players walked away with life-changing prize amounts in the partypoker LIVE MILLIONS Season 1 Finale. The LIVE MILLIONS Grand Final marked the end of the season, and the series guaranteed a total of over €23 million in prizes!

Nine events were held at Casino Barcelona across the entire series and some of the major updates were that of Jake Schindler winning the €100k Super High Roller for €1,750,000 and Pascal Lefrancois winning the main event for €1.7 million – his career best live cash.

Wrapping up the series was the Grand Final Finale Event, a €1,100 buy-in event that attracted a massive field of 1,163 entries. This field beat the €1 million guarantee and generated a new prize pool of €1,128,110, which was paid out to the top 143 players with a minimum cash prize of €3,000.

Topping this massive field was Argentina’s Pedro Cairat, who walked away with a second-highest career live cash of €195,000 for first-place. He had also shipped a PokerStars Live event in Barcelona last year, for €432,178. After days of grinding, it was Poland’s Grzegorz Grochulski who reached heads up with Cairat.

Grochulski has been around the live poker circuit for three and a half years now but has failed to win a single title, with this runners up prize of €120,000 becoming his highest live tournament cash. Grochulski shoved all in with pocket threes while Cairat called holding A-6. An ace opened on the flop and the board gave no further assistance to Grochulski, giving Cairat the cash prize and the Finale Event title!
