Parikshit Dhall gets one more; ships Spartan Mega Stack

It was just a couple of days back that Parikshit Dhall shipped the Sunday Special Progressive KO, winning INR 4+ Lakh in tournament prize money plus bounties on PokerStars India. It was his first major title on PokerStars, but that win didn’t satiate his hunger, as he’s back with another one now.

Every Tuesday night, Spartan Poker hosts Mega Stack INR 12 Lakh GTD on their platform and last night, a total of 452 entries each paid the entry fee of INR 3,300 to participate in the tournament. The guarantee was broken, and a new prize pool of INR 13.56 Lakh was created, with the top 39 places being distributed prizes with a min-cash of INR 9,356.

Among those who managed to receive a pay-out in last night’s tournament were recent Sunday SuperStack winner, Dhruvin Kothari, who finished 17th. Another player on a hot run is Gaurav Sood aka ‘mozzie17’ and he finished 13th last night while Ratul Steves aka ‘Atriohm’ finished 11th.

The tournament which began at 7:30pm last night now moved well past midnight and the competition only got tougher. Another well-known player in Anant Purohit aka ‘Pro’ hit the rail in 7th place while Jay Pandya aka ‘Ba Ba Black Sheep’ finished 5th, a few nights after he shipped The Elite on Spartan.

Dhawal Lachhwani aka ‘Stick3rz’ also bagged a decent 6-figure score as he was bumped out in 3rd place and heads-up began between Parikshit Dhall aka ‘zapdos1311’ and Naren Purohit aka ‘IMUNAGI’. The players realized the difference in pay jumps and very happily agreed on a heads-up deal to end the tournament.

It was 2:22am this morning when the winner was declared, nearly 7 hours after the tournament began. Purohit won the last hand and 220k in chips but at the time of the deal, he was still behind, being rewarded INR 2,18,496 for finishing 2nd while Dhall was ahead so he won the title as well as INR 2,34,136 in prize money.

Gutshot contacted Dhall to congratulate him and he told us how he doesn’t want this good run to end anytime soon. To find out if it does or doesn’t, keep following GutshotMagazine.com.
