The gaming triggers have tactile buttons that directly interact with the screen of the device connected to through capacitive conduction. The triggers use Omron switches which helps the tactile feedback to be possible and each of it measure 37.6 X 28.8 X 25.2mm and weigh 22 grams.
The triggers are incompatible with certain mobile phones such as Smartisan 3, OPPO A8, Lenovo Z5, VIVO Y81S, Meizu 15, and Meizu 15 Plus. First-person shooter games and battle royale-style multiplayer like Free Fire, Call of Duty Mobile, PUBG Mobile, and others can be played using the gaming triggers.
While promoting this product, OnePlus also warned that due to the high touch sensitivity of the displays of mobile phones, false touch could also occur. The website addresses this concern in the following manner, “It is recommended to install the triggers, turn the screen off and back on again even before every use, in case if the triggers are still unable to elicit any input, then please try to turn the screen off and turn it on the back again.”
