The esports market has grown significantly over the past few years, continuing to capture the attention of its young audience in India, thanks to the rise of mobile games such as PUBG Mobile, Free Fire, Clash of Legends, etc. Being a country with a high youth population, it is without question that the market here is bound to grow even more.
Now the esports community has an even sweeter news to look forward to, as Noble Esports, a popular North American organization that entered India with their 5-man Valorant roster in September is setting up boot camp in India!
The owner of Noble Esports Kyle Mcdougal took to Instagram on a live video, he was joined by Hikka from Sri Lanka and Simar Psy who is the captain of the team. It was during this live session that Kyle confirmed that they will be going to boot camp soon in Aris Serinity apartments, Mumbai. An exciting news for esports enthusiasts in Mumbai and all over India.
Just this September, Noble Esports entered the Indian Valorant esports scene by signing some of the biggest names that the country’s gaming community has to offer. Picking Tejas ‘Rex’ Kotian and Rahul ‘t1to’ Sridhar, who were former players from Phoenix Esports, along with Simar ‘psy’ Sethi, who- until very recently- was hailed as one of the best CS: GO players in India. Harsh ‘Harsh’ Arora is the fourth member on the roster, and the team was rounded out by Shakir ‘hikkA’ Razak.
The industry itself has recently seen many notable brands and businesses like Coca-cola, Airtel, Jio, Hotstar, and Sony sponsoring many esports events and making their way into the space. Since esports competitions are primarily targeted at youth, these brands find it more lucrative to invest in esports advertising and branding.
While still not recognized by the government as a sport, this influx of brands investing in esports and the entry of organizations like Noble Esports is a significant step forward in that direction.
