Who is ‘Likita Nuther’ 

Well, this player is Amol Nimsarkar who grinds under the nickname of ‘Likita Nuther.’ Earlier on, he was a mystery player. Gutshot reached out to him and wanted to know the story behind his nickname. Well, the player happily shared details and might we say, it is a heartwarming reason. 

We asked Nimsarkar about his nickname and he said, “It is very simple, I am a big fan of Nikita ma’am. What she has done to represent the female poker players in the fraternity is way too impressive. I adore her as a poker player. She is highly respected in the poker community. First Indian female to wear a WSOP bracelet. There are plenty of reasons to adore her.”

Nikita Luther on ‘Likita Nuther’

The World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet winner said, “The ID he’s chosen is quite amusing. Poker can be a stressful and challenging game and a good sense of humour is always appreciated on the tables. I am thankful for the appreciation that he’s mentioned towards me and I wish him (Amol) all the very best at future tournaments. Keep crushing.”

Well, that’s what we have from Luther and Nimsarkar, both players are crushing it on the poker felts. For those who don’t know much about Nimsarkar’s wins, he shipped the Value Millionaire (IOPC Jan 2023 #139 – ₹50 Lakh GTD) title for a handsome prize money of ₹8,71,484. In the ongoing Final Table Series (FTS) 6.0, Nimsarkar shipped the FTS #7 Triple Chance (10 Lakh GTD) for a sum of ₹1,32,004.  Here’s to hoping that he ships many more titles in the coming days to add more glory to his name and nickname too!
